How it works
Four steps, in the order the app's tagline puts them.
Face the truth
Setup takes about ten minutes. You choose what you want to change and what you want: stop completely, cut down, get back in control, or not sure yet. You pick the triggers you already know about, and what the habit does for you: relief, escape, reward, connection, sleep.
Understand the pattern
Quick check-ins and a journal build up a picture of when urges show up and why. The app maps it onto the cycle (situation, thought, feeling, urge, decision, behaviour, relief, cost) and onto your needs, so you can see what to work on first.
Change the response
When an urge hits, Urge Rescue suggests one short tool that fits the moment, from a 3-minute breathing exercise to a 15-minute delay. If you don't know what you need, "I don't know, I'm just off" helps you work it out.
Build the life
Your support plan, the needs check and the Wheel of Life help you build something worth protecting. Recovery isn't only stopping something.
What every claim is tagged with
The app tells you where each statement comes from: You said (something you entered), Your records show (a pattern from your logs), AI suggests (a possibility, phrased as a question) or Evidence (from the content library).
What it won't do
- Diagnose or label you
- Tell you to start, stop or change medication
- Give a detox or withdrawal plan
- Reset you to day zero after a slip
- Remember anything without asking
- Contact anyone for you
- Make up statistics
- Put safety help behind a paywall
